Blackfinn Ameripub in the Domain opened in February giving Domain-goers another sports bar option. There are a few Blackfinn variations around the country but this is their second “Ameripub” location with a third soon to open in Chicago. Located in what once was Joe Dimaggio’s it has a roomy dog friendly patio with an dedicated outside bar.
A center of the room bar with TV’s wrapped all around the room is the first thing that grabs your attention as you walk inside. Without a doubt this is a sports bar. There is a dining section partially secluded from the bar area by a chest high brick wall and retractable windows.
I wish I would waited a few moments to take this photo not during a commercial but as you can see there is no shortage of large TV’s to watch all of the top games going on that day. The beer selection is a big draw for me, with about 30 on draft.
I’ve only had food here twice. Once was a flat-bread pizza and the other was an iron skillet mac and cheese topped with bbq pulled pork; both around 11 or 12 bucks.
If you are in the Domain and it’s game day for your favorite team, Blackfinn is a good option to cheer them on.
