Austin Aztex
Every four years the World Cup ignites a soccer fever all across America but it seems all too soon that the competition is over and we are left with a void. Just because the 2010 World Cup has ended doesn’t mean the excitement has to end. Austin is home to The Austin Aztex, a professional [...]

On Sunday, more than 2,000 people came together to raise more than $70k for earthquake-devastated Haiti the the best way we know how, live music. From 2 p.m until midnight the Austin Music Hall was filled with great music along with food from Salt Lick and Torchy’s Tacos, with all proceeds going to Oxfam America [...]

Every year as Christmas approaches thousands of Austinites gather on the steps of the Texas Capitol for a sing-a-long which ends in the 35 foot tree on the south lawn being lit with Christmas lights. Longhorns vs. Tech
Here are some pictures and videos from the Texas Longhorns vs. Texas Tech game on 09-19-2009. The HD video capability of the Nikon D-90 factored about 10% of my decision to get it but I must admit is nice to have a good DSLR and video all in one, although the focusing sucks. The Longhorns [...]
Pecan Street Festival Austin Texas 2008
We only had a little time to spend here since it was prior to a Longhorn game but it was pretty cool. It was crowded but there was plenty to do if there was not such an important football game to go to. There were 4 dollar beers that you could buy and drink on [...]
