The Roost, Austin TX

I went to The Roost via the great suggestion, and for the User Yelp Event, of my friend Tony to listen to some amazing jazz by WC Clark. Simply amazing, and in a perfect venue. It could be that we were here before the word is out but seating wasn’t difficult and even with just one bar of three open, getting a drink was extremely fast. Fun Fun Fun Fest 2011, Sunday

It was noticeably more crowded than Friday and coupled with the fact that Waterloo Park isn’t as well maintained as parks like Zilker there was a lot of dirt in the air. Although my lungs were filled with dust my ears were treated to some great music. I wasn’t able to get pictures of all of the bands that I listened to but here are some shots from the ones I did shoot throughout the...

FunFunFun Fest 2010 Day1

Feeding Austin’s insatiable need for live music, and a bunch of it in one place, FunFunFun Fest has been packing Waterloo Park in the heart of downtown since 2006. This year is no exception with a great lineup. Weird Al Yankovic closed the show on Day 1 with a barrage of costume changes and in true Yankovic style poking fun at pop culture with parodies of old and new songs like the classic “I’m Fat” and...
