SXSW 2011 Auditorium Shores

SXSW brings tons of great music to Austin at many great venues. One of the most scenic is Auditorium Shores which looks back on the city of Austin as the sun sets. We didn’t get to Auditorium Shores until about 30 minutes before The Strokes went on for Saint Patrick’s day and ran into a [...]

SXSW 2010 Pictures

Most people either love or hate SXSW. Like a tsunami of technology, film and music South By Southwest 2010 came and went engulfing Austin in a whirlwind of events and parties that challenged even the most experienced and tireless party goers. Between the Interactive, Film and Music thousands of people descended upon the city pumping [...]

Pure Volume Austin SWSX

Like most events during South By, South By Southwest is not cool anymore, get in line. This was my first interaction with Pure Volume in Austin. Maybe it’s my fault, but I am still unclear who they are. Future club? Promoter? I Dunno… This week they are hosting many parties at the space formerly known [...]

Do512 Shiner 101 Party

I’m not even certain what to call that place which used to [...]

With a powerful voice able reach every seat in the house [...]

SXSW 2008 Waterloo Park

Another awesome Austin freebee, the Waterloo Park free show was well worth the trip. There were three stages, two for music and one that seemed to be a stage for comedy acts. There was no online lineup prior to heading downtown but the variety of acts were awesome. Great experience.

SXSW 2008 Auditorium Shores

Limits Music Festival veteran I have never been to SXSW. This doesn’t really qualify as experiencing, but going to The Auditorium Shores Stage was still a good time. It was a short night that was over around 9:30 but still had good music with The Sadies, Eliza Gilkyson and The BoDeans. That is the first [...]
